National Library Week #NLW, More to the Story
As National Library Week comes to a close, I’m reflecting on the community support that has always been the foundation of Frost Free’s success. Not only did we get treated to lunch by Friends of Frost Free but Library Super Fans delivered flowers and cookies too! Our Little Free Library #LFL ambassador has been able to resupply our #LFL on Main Street next to the Community House thanks to donations from a retired teacher. Grateful to Dana Whitehouse, American Legion, for replacing our flag so it can enjoy it’s new bullet light, installed by Amer Electric.
It’s so GREAT to have kids on the lawn with bubbles and chalk again. A patron came in to return an overdue book and was reminded that we are a FINE FREE library, and then went on to explore the seed library, gardening books and revisit an old favorite author for enjoyment reading now that she is retired.
Staff is feeling grateful for recent COLA raises and working together to firm up plans for summer programming. Watch for dates for the Elizabeth Richards Concert Series and a return visit from Bob Fellowes, Magician and Escape artist.
I had to order some feather flags because my car is how people observe our open hours and I’ve been sharing with my husband lately. No car days have been a little quiet.
