Elizabeth Richards Concert Series
We had a lovely final concert with Off the Cuff band; A semi-acoustic instrumental and vocal group interpreting great jazz, swing, blues, bluegrass, rock, folk and originals from the 20s to the 21st Century. Although we only got to enjoy 4 of the 8 planned concerts it made the few really precious. We want to thank our neighbors at Federated Church for sharing parking and the gift of refreshments for the final concert. To the bands that figured out a new way to practice and perform and stay well. I’ll look forward to putting together 2021 contracts. New this year we live streamed a few songs by some of the bands and people really enjoyed a taste of the concerts from the safety of home. Stay well, stay kind, music lovers.
On our way to $800,000
The community phase of fundraising for the 150 Addition is underway. You should have received a copy of the brochure and pledge card in the mail. If not look for the insert in the September issue of the Marlborough Bulletin or ask at the library. If you already gave, share it with your employer if they offer matching donations. Remember dollars raised in the community phase will be MATCHED dollar for dollar. Whatever you give will have DOUBLE the impact. Share it with anyone who LOVES libraries and community. Donations from the community are starting to come in. Don’t miss being a part of this chapter in Frost Free’s 154 year history.
